Staff Management | SMX is seeking Assembly and Packaging Associates. In this role, you will be responsible for production assembly activities, ensuring products meet quality specifications while maintaining food safety standards and productivity goals. We are looking for reliable, safety-minded individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Pay Rate: $19.31 - $19.81 / hourDuties: As an Assembly and Packaging Associate, you will have a direct impact on airline customer satisfaction and be part of a team responsible for preparing products for flights out of LAX.Functions and Responsibilities:Build kits of dry goods, liquor, beverage, and equipment items into airline containers according to airline specificationsAssemble completed kits and various bulk items into airline carts, carriers, etc. according to specifications, boarding check-sheets, and assembly diagrams.Keep production areas in compliance with food safety and sanitation standardsDocument inventory usage in compliance with regulatory and company requirementsComply with hygiene, jewelry, and use of PPE requirementsAdditional duties may be assigned as deemed necessaryPosition Requirements:Qualifications and Skill Requirements:Previous airline catering or production assembly work preferredMust have a current food handler cardMust be able to read and write in EnglishEffective communication with supervisors and co-workersReliable attendance and ability to work overtime on occasionMust be able to work in an operation that is a 24/7, 365-day environment and be flexible with shift/day off changesMust be comfortable working in cold temperatures of 40 degreesPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move 25-50lbs frequentlyRegularly stands, bends, and performs repetitive movements during work shiftRequirements:Background CheckDrug TestStand for Shift DurationMust be at least 18 years oldAble to Lift 50 pounds.No Education RequirementRecruiting Center: SMX @ Air Fayre, 1720 W 135th St, Gardena, CA 90249.
