Light Assembly WorkerLocation: Elyria, OHPosition Type: Full-Time / Part-TimeShift: First / Second Shift availablePosition OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Light Assembly Worker to join our production team in Elyria, OH. In this role, you will assemble small parts and components, operate basic machinery, and visually inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. No heavy lifting or complex mechanical experience is required—we are looking for someone with good hand-eye coordination, strong attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble mechanical, electronic, or plastic parts using hand tools, small power tools, or manual equipment.Read and follow basic assembly instructions, schematics, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Perform visual inspection of finished products to ensure high quality and zero defects.Pack and label completed assemblies into boxes or containers for staging and shipment.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with safety guidelines.Assist with basic inventory management, sorting, and workstation setup as needed.Communicate standard quality or material issues promptly to shift leaders or supervisors.Qualifications & SkillsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience: Previous assembly, manufacturing, warehouse, or light industrial experience is a plus, but entry-level candidates willing to learn are encouraged to apply.Skills:Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small parts.Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills.Strong attention to detail and quality control.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.Reliable attendance and a strong, team-oriented work ethic.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand or sit at an assembly station for extended periods (8–10 hours).Ability to regularly lift up to 15–25 lbs occasionally.Good visual acuity for inspecting small components and fine details.Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
