Assembly Job SummaryA fast-paced manufacturing company is seeking an Assembly person on 2nd shift. This position will require assembling components for transportation seating. Candidates need to be very self-directed and have high attention to detail and quality.Assembly ResponsibilitiesAssembly of seating to the customers requirementsWorking with hand tools, power tools, clamps, wrenches, drill pressRead, comprehend and follow instructions and proceduresVerify materials and equipment neededTaking measurements to ensure perfect fitWork with fabric and foamWork with gluePneumatic staplersAlign materials and put together parts to build more complex unitsCommunicating product issues to the team lead or supervisorPromoting a safe and clean work environmentWilling to assist with other tasks and duties as requiredSchedule & Pay2nd Shift 3:20pm-11:40pm but as late as 3:40am and requires training on 1st shift$23.63/HRAssembly QualificationsAbility to read blueprints, drawings, tape measuresAbility to work with variety of tools including power tools, clamps, battery powered drills, impact wrenches, drill press…Able to do simple tooling set upExcellent hand-eye coordinationAble to work with fiberglassAble to twist, bend, stop as needed and stand for the entire shiftAble to lift up to 40 poundsHigh school diploma or GEDLocationGrand Rapids, MIPosition TypeFull time; Evaluation hire
