Assembly Lead Swing Shift - Fast Paced ProductionJoin us as a Rack Assembly Lead for Swing Shift and take charge of a critical role in our client's data center expansion! In this dynamic position, you will lead the assembly, integration, and testing of cutting-edge data center rack systems, ensuring every unit meets our high standards for quality and precision. This position is "hands-on" and results driven with proven communication skills and a strong work ethic to work in a challenging, fast-paced, energetic environment.This department oversees the installation, routing, and management of complex data center cabling systems within server racks. This department oversees the assembly, integration, and testing of data center rack systems, ensuring high-quality production, adherence to build plans, and meeting customer deadlines. Swing Shift 3:45 - 12:15 Payrate: $26.50ResponsibilitiesParticipating in shift start-up meetings with your department teamCommunicate current priorities and targets, any ongoing issues, process updates, expectations, quality goals and any additional relevant information pertaining to your departmentAttend daily recap production/shipping meeting when Supervisor is not presentDirect hourly employees and assigns and coordinates daily production activitiesDetermines and may develop methods and procedures to improve productivity and qualityAlways utilize efficient and effective flow process of WIPPrepare daily productivity reportsEvaluate issues and potential problems proactively in a timely mannerEnsure 5S housekeeping duties are assigned and completed dailyMaintain open communication with hourly reports regarding goals and accomplishmentsMonitor department KPI's for results and trendsDevelop contingencies and short-term processes as neededIdentify bottlenecks that affect area goals or standardsDevelop hourly employees through training, coaching and mentoringQualificationsAdvanced understanding and adherence to manufacturing documentation (MPI). Skills to train employees in department MPI (Manufacturing Process Instruction) documents Advanced computer skills with beginning to intermediate skill level (knowledge) in excel Works on assignments that are primarily complex in nature. Considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations Determines methods and procedures on new assignments. Must be able to effectively work within a team environment. May lead and provide guidance to lower-level nonexempt associates. Viewed as an expert in job assignments and related tasks.
