Job description

Assembly Line WorkerThis role involves working in a climate-controlled plastics manufacturing facility, supporting the production of plastic cups through feeding, packing, and inspecting activities. Assembly Line Workers contribute directly to efficient, high-quality output by handling materials, monitoring product quality, and maintaining a steady workflow. All shifts are still available! If you are interested in this position, then please apply today and an Aerotek Recruiter will reach out to you within 24-48 hours.ResponsibilitiesFeed plastic cups and related product into production equipment in a safe and efficient manner.Pack finished products according to established standards and packaging specifications.Inspect products for defects, damage, or quality issues and remove or report nonconforming items.Maintain consistent attention to detail to ensure high-quality production throughout the shift.Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment, including steel toe shoes or boots.Support general production and general labor tasks as needed to keep the production line running smoothly.Stand and move continuously throughout the entire shift to perform production, packing, and inspection duties.Essential SkillsProven ability to work in a production, general production, or general labor environment.Experience with packing and inspecting products in a manufacturing or similar setting.Strong attention to detail to identify defects and ensure product quality.Ability to stand for the entirety of the shift without difficulty.Capability to lift up to 30 lbs safely and repeatedly.Willingness and ability to wear steel toe shoes or boots as required.Flexibility to work different shifts and accept two consecutive days off that may not fall on Saturday and Sunday.Why Work Here?Employees join a stable, climate-controlled manufacturing operation where they can build hands-on experience in production, packing, and quality inspection. Work is performed on the production floor, where employees stand for the duration of their shift and engage in active, hands-on tasks such as feeding product, packing, and inspecting. Steel toe shoes or boots are required as part of the safety-focused dress code.Shifts Available1st (7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.)2nd (3:00 p.m. 11:30 p.m.)3rd (11:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m.)Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrence, KS.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
