Job description
Assembly Operator IThe Final Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling complete water softener units on a final assembly line according to established work instructions, quality standards and production requirements. Looking for either 1st shift 6am-2:30pm or 2nd shift 2pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday. Additional $1 shift differential for working 2nd shift. Occasional Saturday if OT is required.Responsibilities:Assemble complete water softener units on a final assembly line including tanks, control valves, resin tanks, plumbing and electrical componentsFollow standard work instructions, visual aids, and assembly specifications to ensure accurate and consistent buildsPerform visual and functional quality checks throughout the assembly processIdentify and report defective parts, quality concerns or equipment issues to the Team Lead or SupervisorMeet daily production targets while maintaining safety and quality standardsMaintain a clean, organized and safe workstation in accordance with 5S and safety requirementsAccurately complete production counts and required documentationSupport cross-training and assist in other assembly or production areas as neededFollow all safety policies, work rules and PPE requirements at all timesQualifications:Ability to follow written and verbal work instructionsAbility to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentDependable attendance and strong work ethicBasic mechanical aptitude and attention to detailPreferred Qualifications:Previous assembly or manufacturing experienceExperience working on an assembly line or in final assemblyFamiliarity with hand tools, power tools and basic mechanical assembliesEducation:High School Diploma or GEDPhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and frequent bending and reaching.The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds overhead and maneuver various parts weighting up to 50 lbs.We Offer Competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits plans which include medical and dental insurance, company-sponsored life insurance, retirement security savings plan, short- and long-term disability programs and tuition assistance.Starting $21.00 After 6 months $22.05 After 1 year $22.80ADA Statement & EEO Statement: In developing this job description care was taken to include all competencies needed to successfully perform in this position.
