Assembly TechBatavia, OH 45103OverviewSalary Range $17.10 - $25.75 Hourly Level Entry Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Travel Percentage 0% Category ManufacturingDescriptionAssembly Tech, responsible for performing simple to complex processes, depending on the product being assembled. Typically requires fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components, units, and assemblies to very close tolerances to complete mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. At times may require working with parts or components which may be difficult to handle and other skills which require good dexterity. Hand and power tools are utilized to complete the assemblies. May utilize detailed blueprints, assembly sketches or other input documents of similar complexity.POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties as assigned.Installation of components to specifications, using various hand and power tools and equipmentInterprets blueprints, Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructionsFollows both visual and written work instructions in order to complete assigned tasks within set time allottedMaintains quality and productivity standardsMaintains equipment, including daily cleaning to maintain good housekeeping and adheres to plant regulations and safety rulesSupports other projects and performs duties as assignedExperience as an Assembler or General Laborer and have worked in a manufacturing/Assembly environmentExperience with hand and power tools requiredAbility to read blueprints preferredAbility and willingness to work overtime when necessaryPOSITION REQUIREMENTS :Ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writingHigh School Diploma or GED requiredRegular and prompt attendanceAbility to function seamlessly in a team environment and promote collaborationRequires a high level of attention to detail and organizationAbility to perform work following established standard operating procedures and ensuring the highest quality standards are maintainedProficient with Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of shipping proprietary applications a plus (UPS, FEDEX)Position requires sitting, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeingMust be able to lift at least 50 poundsAbility to operate a forklift a plusStrong knowledge of calipers, gauges, micrometers and other QA practicesMust be highly attentive to detail and qualityMust be able to read product manufacture drawings, accurately measure product dimensions, and use basic power toolsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :Stand, walk, or sit for up to an eight to ten hour shift; ascend and push, and pull up to 50 lbs., bend, twist and reach with arms, dexterity with hands and fingers to work on a computer keyboard.WORK ENVIRONMENT :Office & factory shop floorQualificationsShare job details to
