Our client is a family-owned industrial electrical and automation company that has been serving customers since 1976. They specialize in industrial automation, motor control, power distribution, and custom-engineered control assemblies.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Assembly Tech to join their manufacturing team. This role is a great fit for someone with experience in electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, small parts assembly, manufacturing, or production who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in producing quality products.

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Full-Time
Location: Fenton, MO
Schedule: Monday - Friday Day Shift
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00/hour

Responsibilities of the Assembly Tech:
Assemble small mechanical and electrical components according to work instructions, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
Assemble electrical control panels and industrial equipment
Install and wire electrical components such as relays, terminal blocks, switches, and other control devices
Perform mechanical assembly using hand and power tools
Operate winding equipment to manually wind coils, wire, and other materials as required
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and work orders
Use measuring devices and testing equipment to verify dimensions and product performance
Inspect completed assemblies and components to ensure quality and accuracy
Identify and report product defects, equipment issues, or material shortages
Troubleshoot assembly issues and make adjustments as needed
Maintain accurate production records and documentation
Assist with inventory, material handling, and other production duties as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies
Meet daily production goals while maintaining a high level of quality
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements of the Assembly Tech:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing, production, electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, or winding is a plus
Ability to read and follow written instructions, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and work orders
Experience using hand and power tools
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Good hand dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Basic math and measurement skills
Ability to work with small parts and perform repetitive hand movements
Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
