Manufacturing TechnicianAt Waters Materials Sciences (formerly Waters TA Instruments), the Manufacturing Technician position offers a challenging opportunity to enhance electronic and mechanical skills while working as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.ResponsibilitiesAssembles a variety of mechanical, electronic, and electro-mechanical instruments and sub-assembliesTests sub-assemblies and instruments as per established proceduresAssembles a wide variety of kits and accessory itemsTroubleshoots and repairs sub-assemblies and instrumentsFollows all procedures and processesParticipates in Lean process improvement programsQualificationsMust be able to read blueprints, follow written procedures and drawings, and verbal instructionsAbility to use hand tools (i.e. screwdrivers, wrenches), power tools (i.e. nut driver), and electronic test devices to assemble and conduct preliminary tests on small assembliesMust be able to work interdependently in team settings to accomplish goalsThe individual must be able to handle multiple assignments, draw from past experiences, skills, and knowledge to assemble and resolve problemsA general knowledge of PC/Computers is a requirementMust have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Company DescriptionWaters Corporation (NYSE:WAT) is a global leader in life sciences and diagnostics, dedicated to accelerating the benefits of pioneering science through analytical technologies, informatics, and service.
