Assembly TechnicianThe Assembly Technician will assemble industrial explosion equipment at an individual workstation while collaborating with cross-functional departments to ensure high-quality, reliable products. This role combines hands-on mechanical assembly with computer-based tasks and requires strong attention to detail, precision, and teamwork.ResponsibilitiesAssemble industrial explosion equipment according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards.Work at an individual station to perform mechanical assembly tasks using small hand tools and power tools.Collaborate with departments across the organization to coordinate workflow, resolve issues, and support production goals.Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand assembly requirements and component placement.Use computers to access work orders, assembly documentation, and production tracking systems as needed.Inspect assembled components and equipment to verify proper fit, function, and quality before moving to the next stage.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety procedures and guidelines.Contribute to a small team environment by communicating effectively, sharing information, and supporting team objectives.Identify and report any defects, inconsistencies, or process improvements to supervisors or appropriate personnel.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2+ years of EM assembly experience or closely related mechanical assembly experience.Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform precise, hands-on assembly work.Proficiency in using small hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical drawings accurately.Comfort working with computers to access instructions, documentation, and production systems.Ability to work effectively on a small team and collaborate with multiple departments.Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, reliable assemblies.Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in industrial or manufacturing production environments.Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes and quality control practices.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues during assembly.Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and other departments.Reliability and strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently at a designated station.Why Work Here?You will join a collaborative environment where teamwork, quality, and safety are highly valued. Dress code typically aligns with standard manufacturing attire, such as practical clothing suitable for working with tools and equipment, along with any required safety gear.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Marlborough, MA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
