Professional Search Group OC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for assembling precision components and mechanical systems according to detailed schematics, blueprints, and production documents. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-quality products through accurate measurement, careful handling of tools, and adherence to safety protocols. Duties
Assemble mechanical components and systems using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and production documents to ensure precise assembly.
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and shop math standards.
Handle materials manually with care, following safety procedures and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain accurate documentation of assembly steps, measurements, and inspection results for traceability.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
Requirements
Proven mechanical knowledge with experience interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
Familiarity with schematics, blueprint reading, and manufacturing documentation interpretation.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and specialized industrial equipment safely and effectively.
Strong shop math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during assembly.
Experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Knowledge of soldering techniques and machining processes is a plus.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to PPE guidelines.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout the assembly process.
