Assembly Technician
Salary $54,000 - $60,000 + Benefits in the Memphis, TN, area
Are you mechanically inclined, good with your hands, and looking for something more challenging than repetitive production work?
Our client is expanding its Memphis-area manufacturing operation and is looking for several Assembly Technicians to join its growing team. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn the assembly of specialized industrial electrical equipment industry in a low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing environment.
You do not have to be a master electrician. Electrical experience is preferred, but the company is willing to train someone with solid manufacturing assembly experience, good mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to learn.
What You'll Be Doing as the Assembly Technician:
Reading mechanical and electrical assembly of industrial equipment and components and
following prints, schematics, diagrams, and work instructions based
Installing and assembling electrical and mechanical components like panel wiring and component layout
Learning multiple aspects of the build rather than performing the same repetitive task all day
Using hand and power tools in the assembly process
Inspecting your own work and maintaining quality standards
Following established safety procedures, SOPs, and quality requirements
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
For this Assembly Technician, We're Interested in Candidates with Experience Such As
Manufacturing or industrial equipment or machinery assembly
Electromechanical, electrical, or panel wiring assembly
Electrical assembly or panel wiring
Avionics or electronics assembly: control panels, switchgear, transformers, generators, or similar equipment
Industrial maintenance or other hands-on technical backgrounds.
Experience reading blueprints, schematics, or wiring diagrams is a definite plus.
