Job description
Assessment Coordinator
VMBA has been working with Vermont Adaptive and the Kelly Brush Foundation for the past several years to help Chapters make their trail systems more adaptive-friendly, through both our Adaptive Assessment Program and Adaptive Upgrade grants. Last year, VMBA joined a consortium of organizations, led by the Vermont Trails & Greenways Council, in applying for and receiving a major VOREC Community Grant to build a Vermont Trail Accessibility Hub (TAH). The TAH will provide hands-on technical support, resources, guidance, and learning & networking opportunities to trail managers seeking to increase accessibility.
This season, we're planning on conducting another 12 Adaptive Assessments at trail systems across the state. Thanks in part to TAH funding and to help us get all that work done, the VMBA office will be hiring a part-time Assessment Coordinator. We're looking for a clear communicator and excellent listener with strong organizational skills and a passion for improving access. The 15-hr per week role will run from April through September/October. Please review this job description if you are interested and email to apply!
Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until March 15th, 2025.
