Across Wealth Management, our growth is driven by a relentless focus on our people, our clients and customers, and leading-edge technology, data and design.Private Wealth Management (PWM)Goldman Sachs Private Wealth Management (PWM) specializes in creating comprehensive wealth management plans for ultra high net worth individuals and families, as well as select institutions, including foundations and endowments. PWM Teams work one-on-one with clients to advise and deliver customized strategies drawn from our deep investment experience, diverse wealth management capabilities and global reach. Our Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) deliver an unparalleled investment platform inclusive of the full product and service offerings of Goldman Sachs and beyond, which may include tax and estate planning, philanthropic planning and private banking and lending services. As client needs evolve, this close relationship allows the team to offer complementary services and new opportunities by leveraging the resources of Goldman Sachs and beyond.Business Development Professionals (BDPs) will work alongside Private Wealth Advisors (PWAs) in the day-to-day coverage of existing client relationships and new business generation. In this role, the BDP will gain the investment expertise to build and monitor client portfolios as well as exposure to various methods for sourcing new client relationships. This is meant to be a longer-term role where you will work closely with PWAs to provide scale and leverage for their existing business while they continue to pursue new client relationships over time.How You Will Fulfill Your PotentialWork closely with PWAs to provide exceptional day-to-day coverage of existing client relationshipsConduct client-facing analyses for client portfolios, spanning strategic and tactical asset allocation as well as portfolio risk / returnMonitor macroeconomic trends and internal research publications, considering their potential impact on client portfoliosAct as the PWM team's central point of contact for client relationship management in SalesforceAssist in the day-to-day management of client accounts, including portfolio implementation and re-balancing across asset classesDrive team efficiency by streamlining operations flows, strategic business planning, and support / service infrastructureSkills & Experience We Are Looking ForBachelor's degree required (CPA, JD, or MBA degrees welcome)Related financial services experience of 3+ yearsInterest in pursuing a career as a Private Wealth AdvisorAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and think clearly under pressureStrong interest in the financial markets and good investment sense/commercial instinctAbility to multi-task and work with a variety of partners across the firmEntrepreneurial spirit coupled with a desire to work in a team-oriented environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build and foster a strong network of relationshipsCreative approach to problem solvingStrong project management and organizational skillsSIE, Series 3, 7 and 63 (must be obtained within three months of employment)Obtaining CFA Charter and/or CFP highly encouraged and will be sponsored in accordance with firm policySalary RangeThe expected base salary for this San Francisco, California, United States-based position is $75,000-$160,000.
