The AssistantPrincipaldirects and coordinates educational,administrativeand counseling activities of high school students by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Reasonableaccommodationsmay be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties.

Ensures conformance of educational programs to state and local school board standards through evaluation,developmentand coordination activities; As needed, researches and implements non-K12 curriculum resources that meet statestandards;

Helps articulate the school’s mission and vision with the aim of ensuring all stakeholders havea common understandingand are positioned to work cooperativelytoachieve desired results;Utilizes/relies heavily upon communication technologies and practices that most effectively support apredominantly virtual / remoteworkenvironment;

Ensures that the school is meeting the needs of students whilecomplying withlocal, state, and federal lawsregardingspecial education and other categorical programs (such as Title I, LAP, CTE);

Interfaces with students, families, local Municipal Court systems, and local districtsregardingcompliance as it relates to student attendance and engagement in educational program as defined by school policy and student handbook expectations;

Develops and oversees implementation of the school’s Student Achievement Improvement Plan.

Supervises and evaluates teaching staff; Manages teacher performance, developing and providing necessary training to support their professional development; Manages Master and Lead Teachers andprograms;

Confers with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioral problems in school; Coordinates with teacher and K12 Enrollmentregardingexpulsions andwithdrawals;

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Directly supervises 15-30 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors.  Carries out supervisory responsibilitiesin accordance withthe organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

MINIMUMREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

PreviousSupervisory Experience

Master’s degree AND

Five (5) years of educational experience OR

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to clear required background check

OTHER REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS: 

Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Webproficiency.

Ability to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, etc.

Previousexperience as an online Educator

Previousadministrative experience

Compensation & Benefits:Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work,requiredtravel (if any), external market and internal value whendetermininga new employee’s salary level.  Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections.  Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.
