NTT teaching faculty members contribute to the core activity of teaching and are fully engaged in the department's curriculum development and growth through service activities. The successful candidate will provide high-quality teaching at the undergraduate level across a range of fundamental mechanical and aerospace engineering courses. Preference will be given to candidates with teaching strength and interest in either thermo-fluids & heat transfer or instrumentation & controls. However, the successful candidate will need to teach other fundamental courses in the mechanical or aerospace undergraduate curricula.

Candidates will be required to demonstrate their ability to successfully develop, organize, and deliver lecture-based university-level instruction in mechanical engineering with a focus on one or more of; thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, controls, or instrumentation. Broad teaching strength in other fundamental areas of mechanical engineering is desirable. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will achieve a sustained level of recognition by students and peers as a stimulating, inspiring and effective teacher, with a demonstrated excellence in the production of effective learning materials and teaching techniques. Additionally, service activities could include design team advising, academic advising, curriculum development, program assessment, or committee engagement.

Qualifications
