Job description
The Department of Systems Biology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor .
We seek exceptional scientists developing and applying quantitative approaches to address fundamental questions in biology and biomedicine. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, experimental and computational systems biology, AI and machine learning for biology, systems immunology, synthetic biology and engineered therapeutics, functional genomics, single-cell and spatial biology, mechanistic and multiscale modeling, and innovative approaches for generating, analyzing, and interpreting large-scale biological data.
The successful candidate will join a collegial and highly collaborative community of investigators within the Department of Systems Biology and across Columbia University. Columbia offers an exceptionally vibrant environment for interdisciplinary research, bringing together expertise in basic and translational biomedical sciences, computational and data sciences, engineering, and clinical medicine across its campuses and the broader New York City scientific community, with access to world-class research, computational, and clinical resources.
Assistant Professor: $150,000-$160,000
Associate Professor: $190,000-$210,000

Qualifications Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree and have a strong record of applying quantitative approaches to biological or biomedical problems.
