Job description
Accounting BookkeeperSupports account managers in the business management department by performing day-to-day bookkeeping functions with attention to detail, accuracy and timeliness. This role can be performed in office, hybrid or remotely.Essential functions:Assists account manager by performing day-to-day bookkeeping functions for clients. This person will primarily input information for accounts payable and accounts receivable, assist in preparing check runs utilizing different software packages, but mostly AgilLink.Prepares journal entries.Performs bank reconciliations and traces discrepancies.General communication with vendorsAssists with clients' payrollAssists with month-end and quarter-end duties, including compilation of financials, sales tax and payroll tax returnsAssists in the preparation of 1099s and W-2s for clientsAssists account manager with special projectsKnowledge, skills and abilities:Understanding of the fundamental principles of accounting and bookkeepingCompetency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and OutlookProblem-solving skills in dealing with deadlinesExperience with AgilLink is a plus, but good computer learning skills requiredAble to work some overtime December through AprilQualifications:High school diploma requiredOne plus years of bookkeeping experience preferredOne plus years of experience in AgilLink and/or QuickBooks preferredProficient in Microsoft OfficeMust have a valid driver's license.$24 - $26 an hourThis is a non-exempt position and is therefore eligible for overtime at 1.5 times the hourly rate.SingerLewak is an affirmative action-equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state and local laws regarding recruitment and hiring.
