PB&T Bank employees take pride and responsibility by placing their signature on all accomplished work.General PurposeThis position is responsible for assisting the Branch/Regional Ops Manager with the day-to-day operational and functional duties of the Signature Banking Representatives of the branch to which they have been assigned. This position requires leadership abilities that focus on providing exceptional customer service in achieving the objectives of the bank. This position requires the ability to problem solve, make quick effective decisions concerning the needs of the customers and staff. Maintain an acceptable level of work quality from all areas within the branch. Uphold the mission and values established by PB&T Bank.Essential Duties/Responsibilities Assist the Branch/Regional Ops Manager in performing duties and responsibilitiesComply with requirements of Signature BankingModels and cultivate strategies to encourage a high-performance work culture based on personal development and best practice principlesAssist with the development of branch personnel with ongoing training and coaching on procedures, regulations and conductAttend all required job specific training and company meetingsMaintains knowledge of legal requirements and banking regulations affecting deposit-related operations and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in complianceManages customer relationships including the introduction of products and services along with the accurate recording and processing of transactions and their related servicesWork collaboratively with the Branch/Regional Ops Manager to ensure the branch supports the sales effort and customer service delivery standard referred to as the Signature Banking ProgramAbility to build strong internal and external working relationships. Projects an ethical and favorable image of the organization to promote its goals and objectivesMaintain operating procedures to promote efficiency and limit liability to the bankAssist with the assignment of duties and work schedules of branch retail staff to ensure appropriate coverage to support branch operationsAssist with coordinating phone queue coverage and schedulingEnsure an adequate supply of coin/currency for the efficient operations of the branchTrack and report on retail operations and productivity for the branchEstablish and maintain a productive relationship with work related vendorsEnsure that the appearance of the branch and personnel are neat, organized, and in accordance with bank policyRegular predictable absencesTravel as needed to provide support to other branchesOther Duties/Responsibilities Support CRA efforts of the Bank within the communityPerform random audits on teller drawers and the vault. Maintain a written, signed report of each audit. Report any exceptions to the supervisor as soon as identifiedPerform the duties of a Signature Banker as neededPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedSupervisory Duties Support the Branch/Regional Ops Manager in supervision of the branch retail staff and perform corrective action as neededInterview prospective employees to determine the best applicant based on skills, knowledge and abilities required to perform the jobProvide the Human Resources Department with accurate and timely timekeeping informationKnowledge Basic accounting knowledgePrinciples of bankingBank regulationsCheck negotiabilityProficient in the use of Microsoft Office software: MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Teller and deposit account proceduresSkills Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with customers and co-workersEffective organizational skillsProven leadership skillsProvide a high level of interpersonal skills and integrityAbility Time management with attention to detailHandle multiple projects and details simultaneouslyPrioritizing and meeting critical deadlinesReasoning and Problem solvingAbility to be a flexible team player and work successfully in a changing environmentAbility to motivate and engage staffMust be able to perform mathematical computations using a calculator to determine solutions such as interest earned, total fees, adjusted account balances, etc.Ability to work independentlyAbility to foster a conducive working environmentEducation Successful completion of High School Diploma or G.E.D.
