Job description
Assistant Chemical OperatorThe Assistant Chemical Operator position is responsible for accurately receiving shipments, accurately staging material, filling and labeling to proper containers, etc. We count on our employees to adapt and embrace change in order to meet, and ideally surpass, business goals.ResponsibilitiesOperate a forklift according to the provided training to maintain organization and stage materials for Resin OperatorsMaintain site cleanliness through daily housekeeping activitiesProperly label containers and fill from all vesselsTransfer product from any thin tank or reactor to any bulk tankAssist resin operators in charging raw materials to vessels (as part of a 2-person team including vessel operator)Complete repacks as needed for shipmentFollow all standard operating proceduresQualificationsMinimum Requirements:Must be at least eighteen (18) years of ageMust be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the futurePreferred Qualifications:Have at least one (1) year of work experience in a manufacturing or distribution facilityHave at least one (1) year of work experience as a picker or packer in a warehouse and/or distribution center environmentHave at least one (1) year of work experience operating stationary power equipment such as palletizers, conveyors, hoists and stackers, mills or farm/construction equipmentHave at least one (1) year of work experience operating mobile power equipment such as lift trucks, tow motors, or pallet handling equipment, order pickers, high lifts, forklifts, or cherry pickersHave at least one (1) year of work experience order picking and entering orders including data entry and scanning bar codesAbout UsAt Sherwin-Williams, our purpose is to inspire and improve the world by coloring and protecting what matters.
