Job description

Production Associate - CorrugatorPay Rate: $21.83Sign-on Bonus: $500 after 30 days, $500 after 6 monthsCategory/Shift: Rotating shift or nightsPhysical Location: Houston Container, 511 Third St, Houston, MS 38851The Job You Will Perform:Set up the machine according to machine specific procedures.Make necessary adjustments during set up and run to insure quality workMonitor quality throughout the production runComplete the box Quality check required on each orderFollow all Lock out and Try proceduresEnter production data into computerKeep machine from jam upsCounting and stacking finished productReport significant and major mechanical failure to department supervisor immediately.Work at a fast pace. Machinery can run up to speeds of 360 pieces per minuteWork in close proximity to electrical, hydraulic and mechanical energy sources.Ensure correct unit configuration per customer requirements.Clean up housekeeping procedures such as blowing down the machine, wiping off shafts, cleaning ink systems, vacuuming and sweeping the machine area, and picking up and shredding miscellaneous scrap.Work rotating shifts and or 3rd shiftWork overtime and weekends as requiredInterpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, etc.Read a tape measure up to 1/16The Skills You Will Bring:High school diploma or state registered GED preferredAbility to read factory orders, accurately read tape measures, gauges and other test equipmentBe able to work in a team environment and must be available to work rotating shifts, weekends, and overtimeThe Benefits You Will Enjoy: International Paper offers a benefits package that includes health, welfare and retirement plans including Medical, Dental, Life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Short-term and Long-term Disability, 401(k), Company-funded retirement contributions, Paid Time Off, Education & Development (including Tuition Reimbursement), Student Loan Repayment Assistance, and Voluntary Benefits including insurance for home, auto, vision and pets.The Career You Will Build: Leadership training, promotional opportunitiesThe Impact You Will Make: We continue to build a better future for people, the planet, and our company!
