Job description
Title: Assistant Director of Nursing – Lead Trauma Registrar
Location: Bronx, NY 10451
Duration: Initial 8-Week Assignment, (11/09/2026–01/09/2027)
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm
Shift: Days | Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM | 35 Hours/Week
Pay:
Contract Pay: $70–$73/hr
Permanent Salary After 8 Weeks: $130,000/year
Important Conversion Requirement:
Candidates must be 100% comfortable accepting the permanent position after the initial 8-week contract.
Schedule Notes:
Initially onsite, with the possibility of a couple of remote days per week after the new year.
Minimum Qualification:
Experience: Minimum 7 years of nursing experience, including 5 years in a supervisory role and 1 year as a Lead Trauma Registrar at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Licensure & Certifications: Active NY State RN License, NYSED Primary Source Verification, ATS ICD-10 Certification, ATS Trauma Registry Course Certification, AAAM Injury Scaling Course Certification, CAISS Certification, BLS.
Required Skills: Trauma Registry Operations, Trauma Data Collection, Injury Coding, ICD-10, Injury Severity Scoring, NTDB, TQIP, NY State Trauma Registry, Data Analysis, Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement, Report Writing, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Preferred:
Experience with NTRACS, Trauma One, Lancel, or ESC.
Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience.
Trauma database maintenance and registry vendor coordination.
Quality improvement, data analysis, and regulatory reporting experience.
Note:
Multiple leadership roles available across multiple specialities for temporary, local, and travel contracts.
