Assistant Director of Nursing RN

Island Lake Center is seeking a talented and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in inspiring and guiding our nursing staff to deliver exceptional care that exceeds our residents' expectations.
About the Role:
As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will partner with our Director of Nursing to oversee all nursing operations, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accrediting regulations. You will serve as a role model, mentor, and leader for our nursing staff, planning, implementing, and evaluating clinical services and programs that promote holistic resident care. Your responsibilities will also include collaborating with other departments, participating in committees, and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Health Administration preferred
Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
Minimum 2 years of skilled nursing experience in a leadership role
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to motivate, mentor, and engage teams in a fast-paced environment
Passion for caring for geriatric and sub-acute populations
