Job description
Must have direct experience in a private equity company
Key Responsibilities
Review Fund NAV packages, quarterly financial statements, notes disclosures, and supporting schedules in coordination with the fund administrator.
Review partner capital statements in coordination with the fund administrator.
Support annual fund audits, gathering supporting documentation and responding to auditor requests.
Prepare management fee and carried interest waterfall calculations for review, in coordination with the fund administrator.
Tax
Assist with quarterly tax estimates and filings in coordination with the tax team and external tax advisors.
Treasury & Liquidity Management
Support fund liquidity management, including preparation of borrowing requests, credit facility paydowns, day-to-day funding requirements, and investor capital call and distribution notices.
Management & Investor Reporting
Compile and analyze fund financial data and operating metrics for recurring and ad-hoc management reporting, including quarterly investor letters.
Support the Investor Relations team with recurring and ad-hoc investor reporting, due diligence questionnaires, and fundraising-related requests.
Skills and Experience
Education & Experience
6–7 years' experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting with a track record of strong performance.
Ideally a blend of Big 4 / public accounting, in-house private fund accounting, and/or fund administrator experience.
Bachelor's Degree or higher; CPA preferred.
Technical Skills
Advanced Excel skills; experience with fund accounting and treasury systems a plus.
Proven problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to understand, evaluate, and improve processes.
