Drive Excellence at McKeever's Price Chopper!McKeever Price Chopper is seeking an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Assistant Grocery Department Manager to oversee the heart of our store—the grocery department. If you're passionate about retail operations, team leadership, and creating an excellent customer experience, this is your opportunity to shine.As the Assistant Grocery Department Manager, you will lead all aspects of the grocery department including inventory control, merchandising, staffing, training, and customer service. You'll ensure the shelves are full, clean, and organized while managing a high-performing team and achieving departmental goals. Additionally, the Assistant Grocery Department Manager is responsible for overseeing all store operations in the absence of the Store Director and Grocery Manager.Key Responsibilities:Lead, train, and motivate grocery team members to deliver excellent service and performanceOversee ordering, receiving, and stocking of all grocery itemsMaintain accurate inventory and ensure product rotation to maximize freshness and minimize shrinkEnsure store policies and safety procedures are followed in stockrooms and on the floorCreate and maintain visually appealing displays and promotional endcapsMonitor department labor and expenses to meet budget and productivity goalsResolve customer issues and inquiries professionally and promptlyAssist with scheduling, hiring, and onboarding of new team membersRequirements:Minimum Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years oldPrior retail grocery or supermarket management experience requiredStrong organizational, leadership, and communication skillsKnowledge of inventory systems, merchandising, and safety proceduresAbility to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidaysPhysical Requirements:Stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout shift (up to 8 hours)Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularlyFrequent use of ladders, pallet jacks, and hand trucksWork in coolers, stockrooms, and dry goods areasEmployee Benefits:Daily Pay Option – Access your earnings when you need themMedical Benefits – Available to full-time team members401(k) Program – Plan for your future with our retirement savings programOn-the-Job Training – Support to grow your leadership and retail skillsWhy Join McKeever Price Chopper?At McKeever's, our grocery department is where efficiency meets excellence.
