They will serve as acting manager in the absence of the Branch Manager, Assistant Branch manager and Head Teller. They will ensure that staff is trained and complies with all regulatory and security policy and procedures. The Assistant Head Teller will evaluate Tellers performance, outages and attendance. They will monitor OT. They will establish effective employee relations and morale.The Assistant Head Teller uncovers members' needs and makes appropriate referrals. They ensure that all Tellers are aware of, and participating in, achievement of sales and service goals. They will assist the Head Teller with the mentoring and coaching of the Teller team. The Assistant Head Teller will hold periodic staff meeting to discuss areas needing improvement, changes in procedures, new developments or services and to present general information. They will also assist with handling complex and escalated issues.Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.Essential Functions:Cash Forecasting/Just-In-Time deliveriesCash Shipments/Cash Receiving and recordingsOrder and balance negotiable instrumentsResponsible for overrides and check approvals when necessaryOrder and balance card stock in absence of Head TellerElectronically Scan checks to Federal Reserve Bank for collection (Check 21)Research posting errorsPerform and enforce dual control functionsPerform audits according to Delta Community's policies & guidelinesDaily ATM and Night depository balancingProcess teller duties, deposits, withdrawals, payments and balancingProcess Shared Branching deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and mortgage paymentsManage and follow forecast budget for ordering branch supplies in absence of Head TellerOperate Cash Dispense Machines and Cash Recycling MachinesCreate a connection and develop rapport with members' to uncover products and solutions that benefit themEducate members on emerging bank technology and digital solutions such as mobile, online, Zelle and ATM to make their banking experience easierIdentify member needs by recommending products and servicesPossess good written and oral communication skillsMust have excellent interpersonal skillsMust have the ability to uncover referral opportunities and provide strong leadership skillsOtherThis description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
