Job description

Assistant Head TellerAs an Assistant Head Teller, you will work closely with the Head Teller to provide support on the Teller line by troubleshooting questions, giving guidance, and ensuring operational soundness, while providing a WOW experience to our members. Community First's pace, engaging team, amazing members, and opportunities for advancement keep it exciting as you broaden your skills and grow with us!As an Assistant Head Teller with Community First Credit Union, you will:Provide exceptional, WOW service to internal and external membersTypical Teller duties including cashing checks for members, accepting loan and credit card payments, placing proper holds on deposited items for uncollected funds in accordance with CFCU policy and procedureIdentify non-negotiable and fraudulent checks to avoid losses for the member and the credit unionEnsure supply of money for branch needs are adequate based on legal requirements and business demand. Ensure excess cash is not kept in the branchAccurately balance and close cash drawer at the end of each business day, along with assisting staff with balancing cash drawers and posting errorsBalance the ATM/CDM/recycler, general ledgers, and vault dailyProvide guidance and training to Tellers on operating procedures, monitor regulatory and compliance changesOur branch hours of operation are: Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to noon. Full time schedules for this position will encompass our hours of operation.We are looking for a combination of:Three years' relevant experience; prior teller and supervisory experience is preferredExceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong time management and organizational skillsFamiliarity with Microsoft office suite and web-based software packagesThe ability to work hard, find solutions, and have funPassion for providing outstanding service to our members – internal and externalEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
