Job description
Role Overview: The position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining and purchasing equipment, and tracking departmental statistics.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise staff including hiring, training, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and supporting professional development.
Assist in developing staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, ensuring departmental goals are met.
Oversee patient care delivery, ensuring interventions are appropriate for patients’ age and needs, and document accordingly.
Create and implement collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatments.
Manage staff scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and staffing needs.
Ensure staff productivity aligns with departmental objectives and conduct performance evaluations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Experience: 2-5 years for basic roles; 5-10 years for senior roles; supervisory experience preferred.
Licenses & Certifications: RN license required.
Additional Information: The role offers an excellent leadership opportunity within an emergency department, working evening shifts (11am-7pm), with full-time benefits.
