Job description
Required Qualifications
The School of Business at St. Bonaventure University is seeking applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Accounting. We welcome candidates with teaching and research interests in one or more of the following areas: financial accounting and/or accounting theory. Consideration will be given to candidates for Assistant or Associate Professor positions.
Assistant Professor
Ph.D., from an AACSB accredited institution in the field of accounting at the time of hire, along with extensive industry experience
Qualify as Scholarly Academic (SA) by institutional AACSB standards
Evidence of ability to produce original and innovative scholarly research
Candidate must be able to teach courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, both face to face and online
Associate Professor
In addition to the required qualifications for Assistant:
3-5 years teaching /research experience in an AACSB recognized University
Candidates should have an active research program demonstrating capacity for high level research and have an excellent record of classroom instruction
Ability to effectively teach financial accounting, accounting theory
Preferred Qualifications
An active CPA license with experience in public or private accounting
10+ combined years of service in academics and/or public accounting
Prior teaching experience in a post-secondary educational setting
Demonstrated ability to use technology in creating and delivering course content
Online teaching experience
Candidates should demonstrate interest or willingness in teaching financial accounting, accounting theory and graduate-level accounting coursework will be viewed favorably.
Salary Ranges by Rank
Assistant $120,000 - $130,000
Associate $130,000 - $140,000
