TEMI is a recently-established collaborative partnership between Tufts University and Epsilon Group, an industrial leader in advanced carbon materials for batteries and other applications. TEMI seeks to address global challenges in energy and sustainability through breakthrough materials research.

Applicants with expertise in computation, synthesis, characterization, and manufacturing of advanced materials for energy applications are highly encouraged to apply.

The past ten years have been a period of extraordinary growth for SOE at Tufts, with recruitment of over half of its current tenured and tenure-track faculty members and a more than three-fold increase in research productivity. Home to nine graduate and professional schools across four campuses, Tufts prides on its culture of cross-school partnerships. The Medford/Somerville campus is located only six miles from historic downtown Boston, facilitating extensive opportunities for academic and industrial collaborations, as well as participation in the rich intellectual life of the region.
