Job DescriptionAssistant Plant Engineer, Ammonia Refrigeration
\ NLocation: Denison, IA
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 1st shift (long hours and weekends may be required)
Pay:
$115,000 to $140,000 per year, plus bonus
\ NLead maintenance and engineering at a food manufacturing plant, keeping equipment in top condition and production lines running at peak efficiency.
\ NMust-Haves
\ N Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years in manufacturing (or equivalent combination)
\ N 2+ years of leadership experience , including team development
\ N PLC experience
\ N Ammonia refrigeration experience
\ N Food manufacturing background
\ N Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance, TPM, and work order systems
\ N Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office
\ N Advanced mechanical andelectrical skills, including instrumentation
\ N Ability to use exposuremonitoring equipment and communicate results
\ N What You'll Do
\ N Manage maintenance and engineering operations alongside the Plant Engineer
\ N Develop and manage capital projects on time, on budget, and with minimal disruption
\ N Ensure projects meet safety, food safety , and environmental standards
\ N Implement preventive and predictive maintenance and TPM programs
\ N Optimize resource scheduling to reduce downtime and costs and increase capacity
\ N Lead the maintenance team through delegation, policies, and clear assignments
\ N Champion plant safety through training and procedures
\ N Track KPIs including equipment reliability, supplier effectiveness, and OEE
\ N Coach and develop maintenance employees
\ N Nice-to-Haves
\ N Meat processing, kill floor, or harvest floor experience
\ N Experience in a high-performance manufacturing organization
\ N Compensation and Benefits
\ N $115,000 to $140,000 per year
