Job description

These include:Trustworthy – We strive for our actions to match our words in all our relationships.Servant – Hearted – We enable and empower our team to serve the needs of customers, Team members, suppliers and the community.Relational – We aim to build healthy relationships while fostering and environment that promotes compassion, balance, and personal and professional growth.Resourceful – We value strategic insourcing, first looking to create solutions internally, and then looking to apply that knowledge to future opportunities.Primary Responsibility:Operate and manage the unwind system to ensure continuous, stable web feed maintaining proper roll setup, tension control, and splicing to support safe, efficient production at target speeds.Secondary Responsibilities:Set up and operate both unwind with cross-training to support the rewind system for operational flexibility.Prepare rolls for production (remove outer wrap, cut cores, stage materials)Maintain proper web tension and roll diameter settings per specificationsSet and adjust edge guides to ensure accurate web alignmentManage roll changes and automatic splicing to maintain continuous operationEnsure adequate supply of clean cores and materials for uninterrupted productionSupport routine maintenance, including cleaning and inspection of gears, bearings, and anilox rollsOperate cleaning equipment (e.g., Micro Clean) and properly store componentsMaintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and food safety standardsUtilize downtime effectively to support setup, housekeeping, and team needsCommunicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operationsFollow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and identify/report unsafe conditionsMay be asked to help with duties in other areas or departmentsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have basic computer skills and possess ability to utilize software. Must have mechanical ability and skills.Language Skills: Must have the ability to read and understand documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, communicate, and understand directions in English as needed.Day Shift (3 Day/12 Hour) - 6:25 AM to 6:30 PM EST - Red Team Amnicola Plant - 2601 Riverport Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37406
