The Assistant Principal supports the Building Principal in the leadership, administration, and daily operation of Ithan Elementary School. The position assists in establishing and maintaining a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment for students and staff. Responsibilities include supporting instructional programs, student services, staff development, school operations, family and community relations, and implementation of district and school policies and procedures.
The Assistant Principal collaborates with administrators, teachers, support staff, students, families, and district personnel to promote student achievement, positive school culture, and continuous improvement. The position may assume responsibility for designated school operations and activities as assigned by the Building Principal.
Qualifications & Requirements
Pa Certificate – Principal K-12 or Elementary Principal, required
Minimum 5 years teaching experience required
Leadership experience preferred
Experience in MTSS and Special Education preferred
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
Thorough knowledge of current best practices in the areas of professional development,curriculum, instruction, and assessment
