Discover more by following us on LinkedIn!JOB DESCRIPTION GENERAL FUNCTIONS The Associate Production Planner Buyer works with internal partners in manufacturing to understand material and demand requirements.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSchedule the planning and procuring material requirements for various eyewear categoriesWork alongside Planners to support production plans that drive optimal inventory levelsWork on scheduling new releases to ensure material coverage of launch datesIdentifies instances when supplier orders need to be expedited and partners with Planners to mitigate a delay in schedules due to unforeseen conditionsBuilds partnership with internal clients and local suppliers to support the efforts of Sr./PlannersPerforms other duties and responsibilities as neededBASIC QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or equivalent1 years of experience in Production purchasing and/or planningAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to multi-task and prioritizeExperience with SAP MM, PP and/or BWKnowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and basic MS desktop applicationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related fieldMRP experience in a manufacturing environmentLean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experiencePay Range:$24.09 - $32.36This posting is for an existing vacancy within our business.
