Job Summary/Basic Functions
The LSU Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) School of Medicine is seeking an outstanding academic physician for a faculty position in the Cardiology Section of the Department of Internal Medicine in Lafayette, LA. Responsibilities include patient care and participation in the education of residents and medical students. A commitment to teaching is required in order to provide outstanding instruction to medical students and residents in various clinical venues. Academic appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor (non-tenure, clinical track), and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and record of academic achievement. LSU Health offers a competitive salary and benefit package.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Education: MD or equivalent
Certifications or Licenses Required: Board certified/board eligible (or equivalent) in Cardiology; Licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana and credentialed with all required entities before start date
