Candidates with complementary expertise in other areas of transportation engineering are also encouraged to apply.

The Civil Engineering Department emphasizes rigorous undergraduate engineering education, close interaction between faculty and students, and integration of engineering analysis, design, and professional practice. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate transportation engineering planning and design courses, contribute to instruction in civil engineering probability and statistics or related analytical topics, advise senior design projects, mentor undergraduate research, and develop advanced coursework in their area of expertise.

The successful candidate will also be expected to establish or maintain a sustainable program of scholarly activity appropriate to TCNJ's teacher-scholar model. Opportunities exist for interdisciplinary collaboration with faculty across the School of Engineering and the College, including work involving transportation, infrastructure systems, sustainability, sensing, data analytics, and related areas.
