Assistant Professor in Human Resource Management / Organizational Behavior
The Narendra Paul Loomba Department of Management at the Zicklin School of Business is pleased to invite applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Human Resource Management / Organizational Behavior, commencing in August 2027, subject to final budget approval.
Responsibilities
Conduct rigorous scholarly research, produce and publish papers in top‑tier outlets such as the UTD24 and FT50 lists, and maintain a sustainable research agenda.
Teach Human Resource Management or Organizational Behavior courses at undergraduate and graduate levels in multiple modalities (in‑person, online, hybrid).
Collaborate with the Zicklin School’s programs and global partners to enrich curriculum and learning experiences.
Mentor and advise students, with a particular emphasis on supporting first‑generation and diverse learners.
Fulfill broader faculty responsibilities in service, outreach, and professional development appropriate to a faculty member at the Zicklin School of Business.
Qualifications
PhD (or ABD) in Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Industrial‑Organizational Psychology, or a closely related field.
Established record of peer‑reviewed scholarship and demonstrated ability to sustain a high‑impact research agenda.
Proven teaching experience in Human Resource Management or Organizational Behavior at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
Familiarity with teaching in person, online, or hybrid formats and a willingness to contribute to Zicklin programs on campus and abroad.
Commitment to student mentorship and advisement, particularly for first‑generation and underrepresented students.
Compensation
$169,000 – $184,700, commensurate with qualifications and experience. CUNY offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, pension and retirement benefits, paid parental leave, and savings programs.
