Salary: $86,628 – $92,844 (subject to budgetary authorization)
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
Teach undergraduate courses in criminal justice ethics, theories of crime, research methods in criminal justice, criminal law and the courts, victimology, restorative justice, and criminal law.
Provide teaching at the Hayward campus, Concord Center, and/or online as required.
Advise and mentor students.
Assume departmental administrative and committee responsibilities, and campus‑wide committee roles.
Engage in scholarly research and publish in peer‑reviewed venues.
Participate in university service and represent the department at events.
Qualifications
Earned doctorate in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field; ABD considered if degree completed by appointment date.
Preferred experience teaching criminal law, courts, and victimology.
Demonstrated teaching, mentoring, research, or community service experience supporting diversity and academic excellence.
Record of scholarly activity, including publications and conference presentations.
