Job description
Overview
Assistant Professor of Management, tenure-track position in the Department of Management, School of Management at Marist University. Salary range: $120,000 – $140,000. This position is focused on teaching and scholarly activity in management and related fields, with an emphasis on quality teaching in a small-class setting.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management, human resource management, organizational behavior, and related subjects.
Maintain an active program of disciplinary research leading to peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
Participate in School activities including committee work, student advising and support, and community outreach.
Contribute to departmental life and service activities; support curriculum development and program assessment.
Manage a typical course load of 21 credits per academic year, with a distribution of approximately 3:4 (three courses in one term and four in another).
Minimum Qualifications
Terminal degree in management or a closely related field (Ph.D. or ABD with projected completion by December 2027).
Professional experience is highly desirable.
Essential Functions
Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.
Maintaining an active research agenda leading to peer-reviewed publications.
Advising students, participating in service activities, and serving on committees as needed.
