Job Summary
The University of Kentucky College of Medicine is seeking an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics.
Responsibilities
Conduct independent research, publishing novel findings and obtaining extramural funding.
Read relevant literature, write manuscripts, and submit grant proposals.
Supervise technical staff and direct post-doctoral fellows.
Participate in departmental teaching activities, lecture in areas of expertise, direct courses, and develop new courses.
Present research at national and international meetings.
Mentor postdoctoral fellows, MD/PhD students, and graduate students.
Manage research resources in compliance with university and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
PhD, MD/DO, or MD/DO & PhD degree.
At least three years of research experience with a track record of independent research, first or last authored papers, extramural funding, and potential for growth as a supervisor and educator.
