Major/Essential Functions:
Provides clinical care for children and adolescents with a wide range of developmental and behavioral concerns, including but not limited to: autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays, and other neurodevelopmental conditions
Provides outpatient care with occasional inpatient consults
Participates in the education of medical students and residents
Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
Engages in the advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties
Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission
Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility
Upholds and promotes the values-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso
Required Qualifications:
M.D. or D.O. degree, or foreign equivalent
Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatrics Residency Program
Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship Program
Texas medical license, or eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Texas
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Experience in teaching Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Medicine to medical students and residents in clinical and classroom settings
Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics in Developmental - Behavioral Pediatrics
Established or emerging regional or national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher
