A growing industrial construction and engineering organization is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to work directly alongside experienced Project Managers and gain hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle.
This is not intended to be a career-long coordinator position. The goal is to develop someone who can progressively take on more ownership and ultimately advance into a Project Manager role managing complex, high-value projects .

What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll support experienced Project Managers while progressively taking ownership of key pieces of project execution.
You will:
Support projects from initial planning through construction, commissioning, and closeout
Assist with project budgets, forecasts, schedules, and progress reporting
Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, accounting, and other internal teams
Help manage relationships with vendors, subcontractors, customers, and project stakeholders
Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, action items, procurement logs, and project documentation
Assist with obtaining quotes, preparing bid packages, and evaluating proposals
Track equipment, materials, and subcontractor deliverables against project schedules
Participate in customer, vendor, subcontractor, and internal project meetings
Monitor project costs, commitments, schedule milestones, and potential risks
Support contract administration and scope-change documentation
Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports
Assist with project startup, commissioning, punch lists, and closeout
Gain increasing responsibility as your project management skills develop

Preferred Background
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related discipline
Approximately 1–3 years of relevant experience , including internships or co-ops
Exposure to construction, engineering, project coordination, project controls, or field operations
Industrial construction, manufacturing, energy, or renewable energy experience is a plus
Familiarity with Microsoft Project or other scheduling tools is helpful
Exposure to drawings, AutoCAD, or engineering documentation is helpful
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Most importantly, a desire to learn, take ownership, and grow into a Project Manager
