Job description
A boutique Owner’s Rep specializing in complex, high-profile cultural projects is looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to their team. The firm partners with museums, performing arts organizations, and other cultural institutions to deliver large-scale, technically challenging projects from early planning and design through construction and completion.
Since the firm is small, junior team members receive meaningful responsibility and direct mentorship rather than being limited to a narrow scope. For someone who is technically strong, highly communicative, and genuinely passionate about the cultural and performing arts space, this offers a unique opportunity to build a long-term career on the owner’s side
The Role
Working closely with senior members of the firm, the APM will support projects throughout design and construction while coordinating with owners, architects, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders. Responsibilities will include:
Supporting day-to-day management of large-scale museum, performing arts, and cultural projects
Participating in design, construction, and OAC meetings and helping drive follow-up items
Coordinating with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and client teams
Reviewing drawings, RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and other project documentation
Tracking project budgets, schedules, procurement items, and key milestones
Assisting with field coordination and identifying potential construction or design issues
Preparing meeting minutes, project reports, presentations, and client-facing materials
Helping ensure information is communicated clearly between all members of the project team
What They’re Looking For
2–4 years of construction or project management experience
Experience with a General Contractor or Construction Manager strongly preferred
Exposure to complex institutional, cultural, commercial, or repositioning projects is a plus
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Collaborative personality with a desire to learn and take on increasing responsibility
