Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

The DC Cohort is one of the largest urban HIV cohort studies in the US and is NIH-funded as a longitudinal observational study of people living with HIV and receiving care at 14 clinical sites in Washington, DC. The study captures clinical information on people living with HIV in care and has been enrolling since 2011 in partnership with numerous clinical providers in Washington, DC, the DC Department of Health (DC DOH), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The study was recently expanded at six sites to include persons at higher risk for HIV acquisition to create a Prevention Cohort. The responsibilities of the DC Cohort Research Assistant Professor will include overseeing study staff, working with the study Principal Investigator, Project Director, and data management partners at the GWU Biostatistics Center (BSC) to direct and manage the day-to-day study operations, assisting and leading design and analysis of manuscripts for the peer-reviewed literature using the DC Cohort database, and collaborating with partners at the NIH and DC DOH, the BSC, the 14 site clinical investigators and other stakeholders to improve patient care and ensure the continued success and growth of this study.
