Kamukura Surf + Dine is seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Manager to join our management team. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to providing excellent hospitality.

The Assistant Manager will support the restaurant with daily operations while working closely with both front-of-house and back-of-house team members.

Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth, efficient service

Supervise, support, and motivate team members during shifts

Provide excellent customer service and assist with resolving guest concerns

Help train and develop new and existing employees

Monitor employee performance, attendance, and adherence to company policies

Assist with opening and closing procedures

Ensure restaurant cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards are maintained

Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage

Monitor inventory and communicate product or supply needs

Assist with cash handling, POS procedures, and daily operational reports

Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house employees

Support management with promotions, special events, and day-to-day business needs

Step in and assist employees on the floor as needed during busy periods

Perform other management and operational duties as assigned

QualificationsPrevious restaurant, hospitality, or supervisory experience preferred

Strong leadership and communication skills

Dependable, organized, and able to work well under pressure

Strong customer-service skills and professional attitude

Ability to lead by example and work as part of a team

Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
