Assistant Security Director – Garden City, NYAre you a seasoned security professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for public safety? We are seeking an Assistant Security Director to support day-to-day security operations at a busy retail mall on Long Island. This is a key leadership opportunity where your expertise will help protect people, property, and the overall guest experience.Position Summary:The Assistant Security Director serves as the second-in-command for all on-site security operations. This role supports the Security Director in supervising officers, enforcing site policies, and ensuring a safe and secure environment for tenants, guests, and employees.Schedule:Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday & Thursday - 2:00PM to 10:00PMResponsibilities:Assist in leading and supervising the on-site security teamEnsure all posts are staffed and post orders are being followedMonitor officer performance and provide coaching or corrective action as neededAct as the on-site lead in the absence of the Security DirectorRespond to incidents, emergencies, and escalations in a calm and professional mannerReview and complete incident reports; ensure accurate documentationConduct regular inspections and patrols of the mall, including interior and exterior areasMaintain strong partnerships with mall management, tenants, emergency responders, and law enforcementSupport the onboarding and training of new officersQualifications:Valid NYS Security Guard LicenseMust be willing and able to commute to Garden City, NYAt least 2 years of security experience, including supervisory responsibilitiesStrong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skillsAbility to remain composed and professional in high-pressure situationsMust be able to stand and walk for long periodsPrior experience in mall, retail, or property security is preferredWhat We Offer:Competitive hourly wage of $31.87Weekly payUniforms providedOpportunities for career growth and advancementSupportive team environmentTake the next step in your security career.
