Assistant Store Manager/Key CarrierRoses/Roses Express is seeking motivated individuals to support our stores as we provide essential products at great values to the communities we serve. Summary As a Roses/Roses Express Assistant Manager/Key Carrier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our customers and supporting the Store Manager with the overall operation of the store to achieve company deliverables.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist with the hiring, training, and development of store team members as delegated by the Store ManagerAssist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store ManagerAble to perform all opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store ManagerAssist the Store Manager in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cashAdhere to all policies and procedures including safety guidelinesMaintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisorsMaintain all areas of the store, including the stockroom and sales floor, to company standards to include recoveryWhen the Store Manager is not on the premises, direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly Team MembersProcess all SSC Corporate directivesAssist the Store Manager on the receipt and return of DSD merchandiseAssist Store Manager in the management of freight flowMeet or exceed productivity standardsAssist the Store Manager in ordering and stocking all merchandise needsAssist the Store Manager in maintaining stockroom organizationAssist the Store Manager in ensuring that the sales floor is sales effective dailyAssist the Store Manager in planning and implementing all directives in the Store Operations Weekly BulletinQualifications:Prefer prior retail and management experienceEffective communication, interpersonal, and written skillsAbility to lift, bend, and transport merchandise weighing up to 50lbs from floor level to above shoulder height; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodationAbility to work in a high energy, team environmentAbility to work flexible, full-time schedule or part-time to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidaysBenefits:We offer generous benefits, flexible work schedulesHealth and welfare programs including medical, pharmacy, dental, vision and morePaid Time OffRetirement PlansVariety Wholesalers, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity employer.
