Role Description
The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Waco, TX. This position supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including supervising staff, coordinating schedules, and ensuring shelves are stocked and displays are organized. The role involves monitoring store performance, assisting with cash handling, and maintaining a clean, safe environment for customers and employees. The Assistant Store Manager helps resolve customer concerns, implements promotional activities, and supports training and development of team members. This role also contributes to maintaining company standards, meeting sales goals, and supporting loss prevention efforts.
Qualifications
Strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills to ensure a positive shopping experience.
Effective Communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and leadership.
Experience or aptitude in Store Management, including staff supervision and daily operations.
Awareness of Retail Loss Prevention practices to help protect store assets and reduce shrink.
Basic math and cash-handling skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise, and work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Prior experience in grocery or retail management is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business or retail management is a plus.
