Client Overview: Our client is a popular girls' fashion brand presenting the latest must-have apparel and accessories. This role is on-site 5 days a week in Long Island.
Technical Designer Responsibilities:
Assist in technical design aspects for each collection.
Measure garments accurately to identify fit issues and execute fit comments efficiently to stay on schedule with production.
Participate in fit sessions, provide recommendations, note call-outs, and log critiques to address all issues effectively.
Assist in providing grading guidelines to vendors post-fit approval to ensure quality and collaborate with internal and external partners.
Approve samples for production after evaluating fit, measurement, pattern shaping, hanger appeal, and functionality.
Technical Designer Qualifications:
At least 1 year of proven technical design experience.
Experience in women's apparel is a plus.
Strong follow-up skills are required.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator is essential.
