Assistant TechnicianDivert is a circular economy company on a mission to prevent food from being wasted through nationwide infrastructure and innovative technologies. Through this integrated approach to reducing wasted food – Prevent, Provide, Power – Divert works with customers across the U.S. to reduce wasted food and positively impact people and the environment.Divert's Assistant Technicians play a pivotal role in the food analysis and recovery process as they execute on various prep, cleaning, light maintenance and other activities. Under the direction of the Lead Technician our Assistant Technicians work in our Analytics, Modular and complete RNG facilities.Shifts Available: Thursday-Saturday + Every Other Wednesday (6am-6pm)This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others.Responsibilities:Executes on various tasks including the inspection, breakdown, cleaning, and stacking of organic material binsMaintains a clean and safe work environment and escalates concerns to Lead Technician or Managers in real timeOperation of hand pallet jacksAssists Lead Technician with basic PM tasks and other operational activities as assignedParticipation in all shift handoff meetings, scheduled trainings, and other meetings as assignedOther duties as assignedPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 lbs. frequentlyMust be able to bend, stand, walk, sit, kneel frequentlyIs comfortable operating equipment and repetitive tasks throughout their shiftIs able to handle potential changes in temperature on site, humidity and wetness in working areasWhat we're looking for:High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience preferredExperience working in a manufacturing/production environment preferred6-12 months maintenance, industrial maintenance, or auto mechanic experience preferredExperience operating pressure washers and hand pallet jacks preferredBasic computer proficiency and mathematical skillsAbility and comfort with performing routine tasksDemonstrated strong written and verbal communication in English (preferred)Willing to work overtimeWhat's in it for you?$21 / hourHealth, Vision and Dental Benefits (effective the first of the month following your date of hire!)Life InsuranceSafe harbor 401(k) planPaid Time OffOpportunities for Advancement with a Rapidly Growing, Mission-Driven OrganizationEmployment is contingent upon passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
